Refund Policy

1. Summary
We want Nudge Pro to feel fair.
This refund policy is:
- The free plan costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund for free use.
- First-time Nudge Pro purchases are eligible for a refund request within 30 days of the initial purchase.
- Renewal payments are normally non-refundable unless required by law, caused by our error, or approved case-by-case.
- Duplicate accidental charges are eligible for review and refund where confirmed.
- Refunds are processed through Paddle to the original payment method where possible.
- If your subscription is refunded, Pro access may end immediately.
- Your legal consumer rights are not limited by this policy.
2. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to paid Nudge Pro subscriptions or purchases made through Nudge’s official checkout.
It does not apply to:
- Free plan usage.
- Third-party products or services not sold by Nudge.
- Purchases made through another marketplace if that marketplace has its own mandatory refund rules.
- Unauthorized resellers.
3. Free plan
Nudge may offer a free plan.
The free plan includes up to 3 focus hours per calendar day and up to 5 focus-days per calendar week.
A focus-day means any calendar day where Nudge records more than 0 seconds of focus time.
Because the free plan does not require payment, free plan usage is not refundable.
If you do not want to pay, you can continue using the free plan within its limits unless we change or discontinue it according to the Terms of Service.
4. Nudge Pro subscription
Nudge Pro is a paid subscription.
The checkout page will show:
- Price.
- Currency.
- Billing interval.
- Taxes, if applicable.
- Renewal terms.
- Trial terms, if any.
- Main paid features.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal.
Canceling a subscription stops future renewals. It does not automatically refund past payments unless this policy or applicable law requires a refund.
5. 30-day first-purchase guarantee
You may request a refund for your first Nudge Pro payment within 30 days after the initial purchase.
This guarantee is intended for users who tried Nudge Pro and decided it is not a fit.
If approved:
- The refund will be processed through Paddle.
- The refund will normally go to the original payment method.
- Nudge Pro access may end immediately.
- Your local Nudge data remains on your Mac unless you delete it.
We may refuse a refund request if there is evidence of fraud, abuse, chargeback manipulation, subscription limit bypassing, or repeated refund misuse.
6. Renewal payments
Renewal payments are normally non-refundable after a subscription renews.
We may approve a renewal refund if:
- You request it shortly after renewal, such as within 7 days.
- You did not materially use Pro features after renewal.
- The renewal happened because of a billing or cancellation error.
- Applicable law requires a refund.
- We decide case-by-case that a refund is fair.
To avoid unwanted renewal charges, cancel before the renewal date.
7. Duplicate or accidental charges
If you believe you were charged twice by mistake, contact us with the Paddle receipt or transaction ID.
We will review:
- Whether there are duplicate transactions.
- Whether more than one subscription was created by accident.
- Whether the charge belongs to a different Paddle purchase.
- Whether the charge was already refunded, disputed, or charged back.
Confirmed accidental duplicate charges are eligible for refund where legally and technically possible.
8. Technical issues
A technical issue may be eligible for refund review if:
- Nudge Pro cannot be activated because of an entitlement or Paddle integration issue.
- The app cannot reasonably be used on a supported macOS version.
- A documented bug prevents paid functionality from working.
- You contacted support and gave us a reasonable chance to help.
A refund is less likely if:
- The issue is caused by unsupported macOS/browser/device configuration.
- Required permissions were denied and the feature clearly requires them.
- You expected network-level or unbreakable blocking that the product did not promise.
- You used the paid features substantially during the refund period.
9. Non-refundable situations
Refunds are normally not available for:
- Free plan usage.
- Productivity outcomes, such as “I still got distracted.”
- Failure to configure allowed apps, blocked websites, or permissions correctly after the app clearly explained them.
- Unsupported browsers or unsupported macOS versions where support limits were disclosed.
- Device clock manipulation or other attempts to bypass the free plan quota.
- Account sharing, entitlement abuse, fraud, or policy violations.
- Renewal requests made long after renewal unless required by law.
- Chargeback abuse or repeated refund requests.
10. How to request a refund

- Your Paddle receipt email.
- Paddle transaction ID, if available.
- Subscription email used at checkout.
- Purchase date.
- Reason for refund.
- macOS version and Nudge app version if the issue is technical.
Do not send full card numbers, passwords, private documents, or sensitive personal information.
You may also be able to request help through Paddle links in your receipt or Paddle customer portal.
11. Refund processing
Refunds are normally processed through Paddle.
Processing details:
- Refunds usually return to the original payment method.
- Processing time depends on Paddle, payment networks, banks, card issuers, and payment method.
- Taxes, currency conversion, and fees may be handled according to Paddle’s rules and applicable law.
- Some refunds may require Paddle review or approval.
- Partial refunds may be available in some cases.
12. Effect of refund on access
If a payment is refunded:
- Your Nudge Pro entitlement may end immediately.
- Your account/subscription status may change to refunded, canceled, inactive, or equivalent.
- You may return to the free plan if available.
- Your local Nudge data remains on your Mac unless you delete it.
- You may lose access to paid-only features after the entitlement update.
If only part of a payment is refunded, Pro access may continue or change depending on the reason and billing state.
13. Chargebacks and disputes
Please contact us or Paddle before opening a chargeback.
Chargebacks can take longer and may cause:
- Immediate loss of Pro access.
- Paddle account/payment restrictions.
- Additional verification.
- Delayed resolution.
We reserve the right to suspend paid access while a chargeback or payment dispute is pending.
14. Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
If local law gives you cancellation, withdrawal, refund, warranty, or digital-content rights that are stronger than this policy, those rights apply.
Some digital-content laws differ by country. Paddle may also provide information about applicable buyer rights during checkout or in receipt flows.
15. Changes to this Refund Policy
We may update this policy from time to time.
The policy that applies to your purchase is normally the policy in effect at the time of purchase, unless a later policy is more favorable to you or applicable law requires otherwise.
